Martha
Lucier is a shamanic practitioner and teacher
of shamanism. Along with her husband Todd
Lucier, she has co-founded Northern
Edge Algonquin Retreat Centre , who's
mission is providing experiences in nature
that enable us to rediscover ourselves, empower
each other and heal our connection to the
Earth.
As
a graduate of the Foundation for Shamanic
Studies 3 year program and Shamanic Teacher
Training with Sandra Ingerman, Martha has
evolved her own Shamanic practice through
creating Shamanism
Canada, an organization which fosters
leaders while growing shamanic community and
strengthening the power of the circle.
Martha
facilitates Basic Shamanism Retreats and Advanced
Shamanism 2 Year Programs, as well as Sacred
Journeys by canoe into the heart of Algonquin
Provincial Park, where her spirit is fully
alive. She thrives on providing experiences
that help us see our own reflection of beauty
within nature’s mirror.
Martha
has hosted Medicine People from all over the
world, and has traveled extensively connecting
with indigenous healers as a means of rekindling
the indigenous Spirit within herself. Following
the footsteps of the ancestors she has traveled
to Hungary, Scotland, Greenland, Germany,
and the Ecuadorian Andes and Amazon and has
led ceremony on behalf of the ancestors on
many of these journeys.
"As
I connect to my sacred roots listening to
the voices of the ancestors, I honour my connection
to the web of life. As a living prayer I am
both the weaver and the web and invite others
to join me in re-igniting and connecting the
sacred flame within. As global citizens we
are all one tribe indigenous to the earth.
Let us find ourselves together in one circle
of deep peace dancing barefoot upon our Earth
Mother.”
