| Humanity’s
Team is a global grassroots movement awakening the
world to Oneness.
Dubbed
“a civil rights movement for the soul,”
the movement has over 30,000 adherents from some 100
countries on six continents.
Humanity’s
Team focuses on awakening the world to the sacred
belief and ancient truth that We Are All One —
one with God and one with life, expressing a
shared global state of unity — so that
humanity’s behavior may shift to reflect this
understanding and create a sustainable world of peace
and harmony and happiness.
Why
Oneness?
We
in the movement see a huge global fallacy as responsible
for the world’s many crises, some of which —
make no mistake — have become so serious that
they threaten to produce fundamental, abrupt and decisive
change on this planet.
The
fallacy is a myth of separation, which science is
increasingly showing is as false as the once-common
fallacy that the earth is flat. Indeed, we see the
separation fallacy as the root cause of a “causal
chain” responsible for the crises.
Would
the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks have occurred
if humanity recognized we are all one? Would we tolerate
accelerated global warming, extreme poverty and hunger,
and gender inequality? Would we fight each other under
the banner of organized religion and in the name of
God?
By
contrast, Humanity’s Team sees non-separation
— recognizing we all share the planet equally
as essential parts of a unified whole — as a
truth that, when embraced, changes everything, creating
workable “corrective actions” to break
the causal chain responsible for the old world’s
conflicts and the old beliefs’ discord.
Peace,
Harmony, Happiness
The
simple awareness that We Are All One, and the creation
of behavioral codes and international agreements reflecting
this awareness, would shift the political, economic
and spiritual reality so humanity can finally realize
the dream it has had since time immemorial of a world
living in peace, harmony and happiness.
We
in Humanity’s Team acknowledge that pointing
to a single source and a single solution is bold.
But we see the fallacy of separation and the corrective
truth of Oneness as a fundamental statement of fact,
vital to comprehend and embody for life as we know
it to be preserved, much less renewed and transformed.
It is a truth that will create a tomorrow filled not
with fear, struggle, rancor, conflict, outright war
and violent death, but with peace, joy and love.
All
of us in the world — friend and foe, black and
white, gay and straight — are brothers and sisters.
The “we/they” dichotomy no longer exists,
if it ever truly did; there is just “we.”
Spiritual,
Not Religious or Political
While
Humanity’s Team is a spiritual movement, it
has no religious or political affiliation. Instead,
we continue the tremendous work of extraordinary ordinary
people such as Mahatma Gandhi — whose invitation
to “be the change you wish to see in the world”
we embrace — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Archbishop
Tutu and Nelson Mandela. Like each of them and others,
the members of our movement are rising up to meet
the challenges of our time with spiritual grace, integrating
inner contemplation with decisive action.
Sign
the Oneness Day Petition
The
Oneness
Day petition, which Humanity’s Team initiated,
is potentially the most important petition ever launched.
It
seeks to persuade the United Nations to declare a
day commemorating and strengthening the ideals of
Oneness and compassion within and among all nations
and peoples, while celebrating humanity’s diversity.
The
day would also provide opportunities for individuals,
organizations and nations to create practical acts
of Oneness on a shared date for the greater good of
the human family.
More
than 20,000 people from around the world have already
signed the petition. Well-known signers include Nobel
Peace laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu; Dalai Lama
envoy Sonam Tenzin; spiritual authors and speakers
Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, Neale Donald Walsch,
Barbara Marx Hubbard, Joe Vitale, Bob Proctor, Gary
Renard and the Rev. Michael Beckwith; sacred activist
architect Andrew Harvey; and artist-musician Yoko
Ono.
Won’t
you join them? It takes just 30 seconds. Just
Humanity’s
Team will then deliver the petition, with some 50,000
signatures and U.N.-member country support, to U.N.
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon or General Assembly
President Ali Treki in May 2010.
Onward
. . . Toward a New Spirituality, a New Humanity and
a New Earth!
