Acknowledging
and celebrating these solar turning points helps tune
us into the natural rhythm of the seasons. When we tune
into the natural rhythms of the seasons we begin to
change our relationship with life and all that sustains
life.
We move from
thinking and acting as if we are not connected with
each other, with earth, and with life, towards an experiencing
and knowing that we are all interconnected.
When we change
our relationship towards being interconnected, when
we change our world within, then the world that we look
at begins to change as well. Our behaviors begin to
change and we begin to honor, cherish, and support life.
Given the
recent oil spill and the consequences it is having on
earth’s life inhabitants now and for years to
come, don’t you think we could use a little humility
in our belief system? Don’t you think we could
use some change in our relationship to life?
Albert Einstein
said, “The definition of insanity is doing the
same thing over and over again and expecting different
results”.
CHANGE -
If not now, then when? If not us, then who? I invite
you, and the San Marcos community to "be the change
that we wish to see in the world." Let it start
with me, with us.
