Respected
peace activist Debbie Jordan promotes the
concept of peace and methods of reform for
society in her exceptional book, The World
I Imagine: A creative manual for ending poverty
and building peace.
Most
of her life, Jordan has been disabled. Poverty
affected her. But, peace prevailed and she

quitting full-time work at a young age because
of illness, Jordan continues to remain active
as a volunteer. She developed many of her

these things, first in novels beginning in
the 1980s, and since 2000, in her newspaper
column. She also blogs as the Phoenix Progressive
