Dr.
Tom Pinkson Ph.D., is a transpersonal
psychologist who serves as a bridge builder,
translating indigenous wisdom to bring forth
the intelligence and creativity of Spiritual
Awakening, Emotional Health & Well Being,
and Living In Sustainable Balance with Mother
Earth and the Circle of Life.
He
is a ceremonial retreat and vision-fast leader,
sacred storyteller, performance artist, musician
and shamanic elder. For 32 years Tom worked
with terminally ill children at the Center
for Attitudinal Healing in California, successfully
integrating the wisdom teachings of the Huichol
and other medicine teachers into the world
of the practicing psychologist. The founder
of Wakan, a nonprofit organization committed
to restoring the sacred in daily life, he
lives in northern California.
What
I do: I help people wake up and connect
to their deeper, authentic being, exploring
how to live, love and work from the holy place
of soul. I help people remember they are sacred,
worthy, luminous beings; that they are love
and that their love is for giving.

A NEW VISION OF AGING - HONORING ELDERS™
is a program that shifts attitudes about aging
and older people to the position of respect
and reverence that mature cultures demonstrate
with their valuation and socially integrative
use of their elders.
It
offers a unique blend of ancient and contemporary
knowledge that is the result of Dr. Tom Pinkson’s
forty years of work bridging cultures, traditions,
belief systems and peoples. Recognition Rites
offers hope and a call to action, in a most
timely and necessary manner.
It
is a program that works authentically, integrally
and skillfully with the challenges and opportunities
for renewal on the Journey of Aging –
Consciously.
A
core theme of Recognition Rites is “Gerotranscendence”
– growing into old age with a fortified
spirituality and cognition that evolves from
shifting definition of a separate self based
on ego to an understanding of larger Self
that is one with the creative power(Spirit)of
the cosmos.
