Shiila
Safer is a Creativity Coach, Poet, Artist,
Meditation Instructor, Nature Mentor, and
member of the Earthtribe. She studied in-depth
with noted art therapist and author, Dr. Lucia
Capacchione, and is certified as a Creative
Journal Expressive Arts Coach. She works with
people of all ages to tap into the wisdom,
clarity and authenticity of the right brain.
Shiila has helped many explore their identity
through playful forms of creative expression.
She combines an understanding of psychology
with a passion for art and a deep reverence
for the Earth.
Shiila is currently enrolled in classes in
the Nature, Trauma and the Soul department
of Wisdom
University, pursuing her Masters Degree
in Wisdom Spirituality with an emphasis on
Earth Wisdom and the Primordial Mind. Sitting
under Grandmother Oak, Shiila spends time
working on Born of the Earth Book 2. She is
also being mentored by local author Dr. Will
Taegel, Vice President of Wisdom University,
and Native American Shaman. Dr. Taegel and
Dr. Judith Yost are co-founders of the Nature-based
spiritual community, the Earthtribe, in the
Texas Hill Country. Shiila and her husband,
Dan Gauthier, live in Wimberley, Texas, and
spend lots of joyful time in their garden.
Shiila offers individual Coaching and Nature
Mentoring, as well as facilitates women's
circles in Wimberley, using meditations out
of her recently published book, Born of the
Earth; Your Journal, Poetry, and Meditations
in Nature.
