The Challenge of Enjoying Life's Challenges
The
society teaches us to give up our personal
responsibility for almost every aspect of
our lives, from the birth and education of
our children to growing our own food. As a
result, we lose true independence and miss
out on the rewards that come from our facing
and overcoming life's challenges. But reclaiming
our powers is simpler than anybody might think.
In his presentation, Dr. Leo shares potent
practical solutions for transforming your
destiny on the spot and taking full responsibility
for your life ? and it is more interesing
and more fun than you have ever imagined!
Some
quotes from Dr. Leo Sharashkin
-
"We are being programmed to see the
negative side of life. We see one squirrel
killed by a car, but do not see a thousand
squirrels that weren't. So our gratest challenge
is to learn to see a 92% employment rate
where everybody else sees an 8% unemployment
rate!"
-
"Even
when I look at the lifeless urban landscape,
it serves to me as a demonstration of Man's
creative powers. If we've been able to cover
half the Earth in concrete, we have full
potential to transform our planet back to
its pristine state of a garden of Paradise."
-
"The notion that each of us is an omnipotent
being is even engrained in the language
we speak. Take the word will. It means intent,
but it is also used to form the future tense,
showing that what will happen to you depends
entirely on your own will."
-
"Our
problems exist mostly in our own mind. In
this country, some people now commit suicide
because their stocks lost value. At the
same time there are millions ? if not billions
? of people living on the same planet who
do not even know what stocks are!"
-
"The world we live in is not mechanical,
but a living one. So creating your reality
is not about pushing buttons, but about
planting seeds."
Leonid Sharashkin received his doctoral degree

previously headed the Economic Programme of
World Wildlife Fund (WWF-Russia), was editor
of Russia's largest environmental magazine,
and led one of Russia's first eco-villages.
An organic gardener with a quarter of a century
experience, he is now creating a self-sufficient
homestead for his growing family, and leads
a number of projects promoting self-reliant
living based on integrating human habitat with
the natural ecosystem. He also travels internationally
speaking on these topics. |
