After
graduating in 1977 from St. Louis University
with a major in Psychology and a minor in
Business Administration I was accepted into
the Peace Corps and assigned to the Solomon
Islands in the South Pacific. My posting was
as Assistant Business Advisory Officer in
the Western Province. My responsibilities
were to supervise a staff of 4 local advisors
who were stationed on different islands throughout
the Province and, with them, visit local businessmen
and guide them on good business practices.
I
served my two year term, stayed on 3 extra
months to train new Volunteers, then traveled
the next 6 months through Australia and Asia
before getting home.
Since
then I've worked in management in the health
care field, with nursing agencies, physician
practices, and technology.
